Laura met these camels in the desert between Dubai and Abu Dhabi, with their wild counterparts roaming freely nearby. The fence between us and the camels is only present as a shadow, and yet the tension it creates is palpable.

This piece was a Gallery Finalist in the 2023 Lethbridge Gallery Small Scale Art Award.
